Crowds gathered to see the "Maker in
the Gallery" Days ... and the numbers kept up all
day
It was good to see that age was no
indicator of degree of
interest - some of the best questions came from
the younger ones
We also had some "Show and Tell" sessions for smaller groups ...
even though we scheduled more, they were all booked
out.
Participants were able to closely examine samples of work in progress
Canberra Needlework hosted a full day workshop "Dyeing without
Dipping" where we explored what could be done with some textile dye
and a paintbrush to produce exciting threads for later stitching,
and backgrounds for applique and quilting.
Who ever would have thought working with polyester could be such
fun!
